Summer Making

Incised Jugs, slipware, Neville Tatham

Sadly with Covid 19 forcing us to stay inside I’m not having as much fun in the sun as I’d like to. The bright side is that I work from home anyway so can fill my time making pots. Summer is the perfect time for making pots. The heat allows the clay to dry faster and this is particularly useful when applying slip. These guys have become a staple product so generally every time I fire a kiln I have some made to stick in any free space.

If you are interested in seeing me make them please don’t hesitate to follow my Instagram account I tend to document a lot of my day to day making there.
